DPP: Exercise 23: Alteration



In this last exercise in Part Four, we are asked to alter an image through the removal of an object.  The finished image should not reveal retouching to the average viewer seeing the image for the first time.

The first image is a scan of a print from a 1999 trip to Hong Kong (above).  The second image is more recent from Dubai. In both the Clone Stamp and Patch tools were used to replace the unwanted object.

Here is an example of alteration - the addition of color - from my current Ps course.  It's a photo of my father and I from circa 1964-65.
